I started going to the gym, not because I wanted six-pack abs (though hey, wouldn’t complain!) but because I knew I needed structure. In 2016, I stood up to give a speech in front of a room full of business owners—and I passed out. Yep. Straight up fainted. Anxiety had me in a chokehold. That moment was humiliating, yes. But more than that, it was a wake-up call. I could either shrink or grow.

I chose to grow.

So, I launched a platform. Not to impress anyone. But to give myself the space to practice, to speak, to be seen—and to heal. That small, shaky step became the foundation of what is now Evespeaks Virtual Assistance.

And here’s the beautiful part: What started as my personal journey to overcome anxiety has now become a launchpad for other business owners—especially Black women in tech—who are stepping into entrepreneurship and even government contracting.

Why am I passionate about this?
